“Is SHE Chris Watts’s Mystery Mistress” was published on #SHAKEDOWN on August 23rd, 2018 be me at this link. At that time I was not blogging exclusively on the Watts case. About two weeks later I shifted coverage from #SHAKEDOWN to TCRS.
When the post appeared online in the last week of August, it was the first image published online [besides social media] that made explicit the connection of the name mentioned in the addendum to the arrest affidavit, and the mistress.
Shortly after the endorsed witnessed list was published [as an addendum to the arrest affidavit] it was partially redacted and later the entire witness list was removed. In the original list Kessinger’s name appeared on page 7 [of 9 pages].

At the time who this “Nichol Kessinger” was was speculation but it wasn’t difficult to join the dots. The Arrest Affidavit stated that Watts was actively having an affair with a co-worker, and even though it wasn’t confirmed at the time, it was obvious Kessinger and her kin had strong career links to the oil and gas industry. It was also relatively simple to systematically go through the list Googling names and excluding those who were cops, Thrivers or otherwise didn’t fit the “mistress” profile.
The speculation posted on #SHAKEDOWN was not repeated in the media at time, but it was subsequently proven to be 100% correct.
To date that particular post has been viewed over 60 000 times.

I had heard but not read about the texting and dismissed it as salacious in the never-ending witch-hunt. However…I thought that was all kosher until he said “did you hear about this?” and linked here. That seems more what you’d send to a friend or colleague not a witness or potential suspect maybe at that point. I don’t know if that’s normal procedurally or not but it feels weird to me. Could Kevin have a little crush after all? Or is this above-board and normal? If it wasn’t an investigator, I’d think that was a friend essentially saying “ohmigah did you HEAR this??” Like…what is he doing?

I’d bet the farm that your blog has been visited frequently by Baumhover, Coder and Lee. I’d go as far to say that you’ve directly influenced them and we may see evidence of that when the interview with CW is released. I’ll be looking for questions related to the MLM and their financial situation, since it was misguided for the DA to state that the family finances were similar to what many other families experience. I, for one, am extremely grateful for your dedication to this case. Thank you.

I remember a comment left on that post that many thought was Kessinger herself.

“grasping at straws” LOL! If that were me I would be crapping my pants! Who cares if there’s a correct address or a couple years old photo of me.. it’s a photo of ME with my name!! I’d like to think he was being a troll agent and wanted to see her squirm knowing that the one thing she cares about most in this horrific case is herself being put on display as the woman she is. Surely they have disdain for her. I can imagine the CBI water cooler chat about this lady! Anyhow, PATS ON BACK! You’re amazing! 🏆🎉
